Salon Furniture Buying Guide: Chairs, Stations & Setup

2 July 2026

Furniture sets the daily rhythm of a salon: a good chair protects your back, a good station keeps tools in reach, and easy-clean surfaces cut closing time. Here is a practical fit-out checklist.

The chair comes first

  • Hydraulic pump quality is the part that fails first on cheap chairs. Professional pumps are rated for constant height changes all day.
  • Reclining backrest and adjustable headrest matter for shaves and facial work, not just cuts.
  • Check the weight and dimensions in the product specifications — heavy bases are a feature (stability), not a flaw.
  • Wipeable, stitched upholstery survives daily disinfectant far better than untreated materials.

Stations and spacing

  • Allow roughly 1.4–1.6 m of width per working station so two barbers never collide.
  • Every station needs: mirror sightline, tool storage within arm's reach, and a socket for clippers/dryers.
  • Trolleys give flexible storage when wall space is limited — one shared trolley per two stations works in small shops.

Hygiene-friendly choices

  • Prefer non-porous surfaces (sealed laminate, metal, glass) that handle disinfectant without staining.
  • A dedicated sterilization point (UV cabinet or high-temperature unit) near the stations shortens the tool-turnaround loop — see our Sterilization & Hygiene range.

Delivery, assembly and returns in Oman

  • Delivery across Muscat Governorate is a flat 1.500 OMR per order (1–2 business days) — one fee even for a multi-chair order — or collect free from our warehouse the same day.
  • Larger items arrive boxed with assembly instructions; our team answers setup questions on WhatsApp.
  • Items that arrive damaged or faulty can be returned within 7 days of delivery — keep the packaging and send photos.

Budget planning

  • A VAT invoice (5% Oman VAT) is issued with every order for your business records.
  • Fitting out a full shop? Approved trade accounts get wholesale pricing storewide — and you can send your whole cart as a quote request for bulk pricing.
